Don’t Rebel Against God

So we’re self-willed, self-reliant
Self-righteous, we blindly stray
Are defiant, independent
We want the last say.
God’s Joy, or Our Feelings?

“You will show me, the path of life
In Your presence, fullness of joy
Weeping, may endure for a night
But in the morning, comes joy.”
Are We Poor in Spirit?

Are we humble and lowly
Or proud, self-serving
Are exalting ourself
Or submissive, subserving?
Poor in Spirit?

Are so weary of self
All the efforts you make
Self-reliance, self-ambitions
All fleshly, vain mistakes.
Who is to Blame?

So, acknowledge our blame
Whenever, we succumb
To wrong lusts, and desires
Repent, seeking God’s Son.
Psalm 1 – The Righteous and Wicked

He shall be like a tree
Planted by rivers of water
Brings forth fruit, in its season
Whose leaf shall not wither.
Psalm 119:169-174 Tav & Sav – ת & תּ

Let my cry come
Before You, O LORD
Give me understanding
According to Your Word.
Psalm 119: 161-168 Shin & Sin –שׂ&שׁ

For I rejoice at Your word
As one finding, great treasure.
I hate, and abhor lying
But love Your law, my greatest pleasure.
Psalm 119: 153-160 Raysh – ר

LORD, look and consider
My affliction, and deliver me
For I do not forget
Your law, set me free.
Psalm 119:145-152 Kuf – ק

All Your commands are true
Concerning Your testimonies
I have known, of old
You have founded them, forever.
