Our Thought Patterns

So, daily cleave to God’s Word
And set your mind above
Keep proclaiming, God’s promises
Denounce the devil, declare God’s love.

Not those verses from childhood
Nor the sermon last week
But fresh manna from heaven
The LORD, daily do seek.

Despite her failures, abuses
Rejection of their Messiah
Our God watches, over Israel
They will know Him, states Zachariah.

Are we willing to wait
In the darkness, no light?
No hope, but the LORD
Know in you, He delights.

In the midst of the night
When darkness, seems greatest
Know light, shines the brightest
So be strongest and bravest.

Stepped into our world
So broken, and bound
Brought light and salvation
That lost souls are found.

And while God offers good
Temptation brings evil
Understanding our choice
Be His righteous people.

Yes, pray for God’s Spirit
Come speak to your soul
Not rushing while reading
Lest from Him, time you stole.

Yes, weigh all the evidence
Read history, seek proof
For social soundness, and blessings
God’s Word, points to Truth.

And so, love not the world
Nor selfishness, greed
Seek God’s glory alone
Let His Spirit, always lead.
